(Learn more about the club in the 'History & Heritage' section of the site).
The club has built a reputation for resilience, community spirit, and a deep connection with its supporters. Through generations of change in Scottish football, Morton has remained a constant presence. Playing in distinctive blue and white hoops, Greenock Morton is recognised across Scottish football for its traditional kit and proud identity.
Seen below are a few examples of Greenock Morton home kit tops from recent years:

Morton plays its home matches at Cappielow Park, one of the most iconic and traditional grounds in the country. Situated beside the River Clyde, Cappielow has been the club’s home since 1879 and retains a unique character rarely found in modern football.
From the historic Cowshed terrace to the close proximity of the pitch, Cappielow offers an authentic football experience that reflects the club’s working-class roots and passionate support.

Greenock Morton Football Club has entered a new era of supporter involvement through the creation of Morton Club Together (MCT), a fanled organisation dedicated to securing the long term future of the club.
Established in 2019, Morton Club Together was formed with the aim of increasing supporter influence and ensuring the club is run in a sustainable and community focused way. The initiative brought together fans, local stakeholders, and supporters’ groups under a shared vision to protect the heritage of Morton while building a stable future. In 2021, Morton Club Together completed a landmark agreement to become the majority shareholder in Greenock Morton Football Club. This transition marked a significant moment in the club’s history, placing ownership into the hands of the community for the first time.
Fan ownership has allowed supporters to play a more active role in the direction of the club. Through membership, fans contribute financially and have a voice in key decisions, helping to create a model built on transparency, accountability, and long term planning.
Morton Club Together reflects the strong relationship between the club and its supporters. It highlights the importance of community in football, particularly at clubs like Morton, where identity, history, and local pride are deeply connected.
As the club continues to develop under this model, Morton Club Together represents a commitment not just to success on the pitch, but to preserving the values and traditions that have defined Greenock Morton for generations.
